An “AIO nappy” refers to an “All-in-One” cloth nappy. Cloth nappies are reusable alternatives to disposable nappies and are popular among eco-conscious parents. The term “All-in-One” means that the nappy consists of a single piece, combining the absorbent layer and the waterproof layer. This type of cloth diaper is designed to be convenient and easy to use, as it does not require any additional inserts or covers.
An AIO nappy typically has an absorbent inner layer made of materials like cotton, bamboo, or microfiber, which helps to absorb and contain the baby’s waste. The outer layer is usually made of a waterproof material such as PUL (polyurethane laminate) or TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) to prevent leaks.
AIO nappies are considered convenient because they are designed to be similar to disposable diapers in terms of ease of use. They often have adjustable snaps or hook-and-loop closures to provide a secure fit and can be easily fastened and unfastened. After use, they require washing before they can be reused.
